Hi, I’m Kody Orris — a Los Angeles-based audio engineer with a passion for sound.

I started my career freelancing in Ohio, working across film, television, and music. Not long after, I spent time in Nashville at The Tracking Room, one of the city's premier recording studios, where I had the chance to work with world-class gear like the SSL 9000J and assist on sessions for major country artists and orchestral recordings. It was an incredible learning ground that shaped my approach to sound and engineering.

From there, I joined SpaceJunk Media, where I handled every part of the audio pipeline for TV and web commercials — from location recording all the way through to final mix. Eventually, I made the move to L.A. to take the next step in my career and landed at Nickelodeon as a full-time recording engineer.

At Nick, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented voice actors in the industry on shows everyone knows — from SpongeBob to Transformers: EarthSpark. I was proud to be Emmy-nominated for my work on Transformers, and I continue to love being in the room (or remote session).

My strengths lie in voiceover sessions, dialog editing, sound design, and mixing. I believe in keeping the studio atmosphere relaxed and collaborative — a light vibe goes a long way when deadlines are tight and the creative stakes are high.
